Parrita is located in the province of Puntarenas, on the Costa Rican Central Pacific coast, on the eastern border of the Quepos canton and on the western border of Garabito.
Parrita’s economy is based mainly on the agricultural production of the African palm for export, pineapple, banana, watermelon, melon and rice.
